It can be challenging looking for a home cleaner and find somebody you trust to enter your home. If you post to Social Media that you are "looking for a cleaner" you will get numerous responses from individual people or "company" accounts. Hiring a random person could have risks and considering this person comes into your home, you want to know who they are, where they are from and that they are legitimate. As a home owner you may want to consider a few items before hiring a cleaner. Some points to consider when using Triple P Clean:
Our postings are genuine. No exaggerated claims of experience, no fake reviews or recommendations from friends or family on social media and we don't use ChatGPT/BOTS to make us sound like a robot.
By hiring a cleaning company that has insurance (liability, theft and WCB) protects the home owner if anybody is injured on the job, or as a result of the work. A lot of trust is placed on a contractor you hire, as you are letting them into your home. With the amount of "fake" or "phishing" that occurs on the internet, home owner's should consider who they provide their information to and who they let into their home.
We see many advertisements for cleaning service from $25 to $65 per hour. The price for a cleaner can vary depending on whether they are working independently or as a business with employees. Most independent cleaners have less overhead, especially if they are doing it as a side job - they may not pay tax and have the same expenses as a business such as a website, bookeeping/taxes, licensing, insurance and WCB. Also having employee's requires the employer to follow government legislation for taxes, vacation and payroll.
Another expense is cleaning supplies and equipment. Each cleaner is equipped with a bag, tools, multiple cleaning supplies, mop and vacuum. Time is spent after the clean to re-purchase supplies, replenish and wash re-usable mops/cloths.
It should also be noted is that most cleans are not an 8 hour full day. It's a very physical job and difficult to do 8 hours straight of cleaning - most regular cleans are 4-6 hours long. If two cleans can be performed in a day, there is time spent transporting from sites that is not paid by the customers.
Considering these items, and time spent outside of customer billed hours for adminstration work, bookeeping, scheduling, GST remittance, purchasing supplies, invoicing, etc. we believe a cleaning rate of $40-50 per hour for a business are reasonable.
